Dr. Marta Vaz Batista

Dr. Marta Vaz Batista is a Medical Oncologist with a particular focus on the treatment of breast cancer, gynecological cancers, and central nervous system metastases.

She completed her Integrated Master's Degree in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon between 2008 and 2014. She subsequently undertook her specialist training in Medical Oncology at Hospital Fernando Fonseca from 2016 to 2021, where she consolidated her clinical expertise in this field. In 2017, she further enhanced her education with a Postgraduate Diploma in Nutrition in Oncology from the Portuguese Catholic University. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Medicine at Nova Medical School, which she began in 2025.

She currently leads the Oncology Department at a private hospital unit and also practices clinically at ULS Amadora-Sintra. In addition to her clinical work, she is actively involved in both national and international clinical research, participating in the monitoring and leadership of multicenter clinical trials.
