Dr. Rita Travassos

Consultant Dermatologist with subspecialisation in Aesthetic and Cosmetic Medicine accredited by the Portuguese Medical Council, with extensive experience in clinical, preventive and aesthetic dermatology.

She is a member of the Clínica Sentinela team, where she practices dermatology with a strong focus on prevention, early diagnosis and follow‑up of skin conditions, including in the context of oncological disease.

She has recognised experience in the management of skin changes associated with cancer therapies, as well as in the treatment of scars and other sequelae, combining clinical dermatology with aesthetic techniques that contribute to restoring patients’ quality of life, wellbeing and self‑esteem.

She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon and completed her Dermatology and Venereology residency at Hospital de Santa Maria.

She has developed specialised hospital practice in atopic dermatitis, chronic urticaria and contact dermatitis, and previously served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Lisbon, participating in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.

In the field of aesthetic dermatology, she has extensive experience in non‑surgical procedures, including botulinum toxin, hyaluronic acid fillers and laser technologies, consistently aiming for natural and harmonious results.

Her clinical practice is guided by a rigorous, personalised and evidence‑based approach.

She is a trainer and speaker at national and international congresses and a member of several scientific societies, including SPDV, EADV, GPDCE, ESCD and GPEU. She is also Vice‑President of the Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dermatology Group of the SPDV.

She is the author of more than 70 scientific publications.
